Wow, here I am searching for a reason to donate my hair, thanks to you I found a good enough reason. I was in a bike accident 4 months ago and my parents want me to donate hair to show reverence for his(god) protection. I was googling hard in search for a logical reason to donate hair. It is ironic that I am convinced by a westerner. I am Indian by the way.
There are many places you can donate hair in south India. I am donating my hair at Adichunchungiri, Karnataka to Lord Kalabhairava( one aspect of Shiva).
If in the future you would like to donate hair, do email me, I could suggest you a number of places which are not mainstream but very sacred.
