As I take Shiso on walks, I get to look into everyone’s gardens and see spring evolving. It is actually incredible how things are blooming here: all at once. Back home, in Canada, I was used to a drawn out blooming, where one plant would bloom, then another, and another. Here, all of the same plants (than those back home) are blooming all at the same time. It feels very foreign to me! However, it is really pretty.
The bluebonnets have also started to bloom, and I am excited about that! Apparently, they are a really big deal in Texas and I can’t wait to see fields of blue everywhere. They are like dwarf lupines, for those unfamiliar with them. Shiso is sniffing at one in one of the photos bellow.
