Thanksgiving at the ranch | Texas

My first American Thanksgiving!

Everyone gathered at the ranch this year to celebrate: aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, neighbors. What made it extra special is that Travis’ grandmother flew in, and I got to meet her for the first time. It was fun to have 4 generations in one room! In all it was nearly a full week’s worth of breakfast, lunches, dinners, and hunting. And lots of hanging out too!

As for the actual thanksgiving celebration, we stretched it the course of two days. On the first night, we had a traditional meal with turkey, gravy, stuffing, and all of the fixings. On day two, we had a large BBQ with brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage – there was so much food! I also made a cake shaped like a pumpkin, although I think it looked better before the icing went on.

All of the doggies had fun playing together. I am surprised that I managed to fit all of them in the first picture!

Mistletoe grows at the ranch! We used some as decoration.

Lastly, check out this amazing sunset we had!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I know we did.
