A real Texan BBQ | 101 Things

What did I get to do on my first day in Texas? Scratch an item off my 101 Things list!

The goal to “eat a real Texan BBQ, ideally cooked by Jeff” was a day-long affair. Jeff started cooking at 6 AM, and we did not eat dinner until after dark. The day involved lots of games of domino (apparently a traditional activity), drinking beer, petting puppies. To keep us going we are a tasty lunch of grilled sausages, and my favourite, a delicious snack of jalapeno poppers. I love Jeff’s poppers, they are the best! We watched the sun set, payed more games, and finally it was time for a dinner of ribs and brisket – so yummy! There was so much food all day – I have no idea how I kept eating – and it was all incredible.

Thank you so much Jeff for making this happen!
