With the snow that keeps falling and the cold weather having moved in, it was time to finally harvest what was left in the garden. Good thing too, because the top layer of soil was already frozen. All of the carrots came out of the ground, the scallions were trimmed, and oregano, mint, arugula, spinach and radish greens harvested. I find it pretty amazing that we were still getting the garden to work for us so late in the year, and I am looking forward to next year, when we’ll have added winter green to the equation.
I feel so blessed to have a house with a garden!
