Week 7 update | Home

This week was pretty important one for us: we got to move into our new (rented) house! We are super excited to have our own place, shared with no one else. To have a yard, a garden, an office! It’s pretty amazing.

We spent the day before the move cleaning, and we didn’t even get to all of it after hours of hard work. The house was actually pretty dirty, with broken glass everywhere (light bulbs and the likes). It will be nice once everything is clean and tidy and dirt is our dirt, not someone else’s. On the upside, we did find a nice surprize in my office closet!

The next day we packed up our stuff, and moved in!

Here are a few images of our new diggs.

And some garden photos:

As you can tell, everything will be needing a little TLC and elbow grease.

Another big news this week: Travis got a job! He will be working for the catering side of things at a nice, big hotel in town. His first day of work was even this week!

Other than that, we:

+ Cleaned a lot;
+ Did some gardening and weeding;
+ And I baked an apple crumble.

    YOUR HOUSE IS YELLOW. Awesome! Also, I am curious how much you found in spare change in the office closet.

      I also love that it’s yellow! It’s a fantastic sunny shade. As for the coins, we aren’t done counting them yet (!!! got lazy with the pennies) but we got over $300 out of it. Pretty sweet!
