Alexandria to Sinai | Egypt

After the wedding we packed up and the whole gang (13 of us) headed to Nuwebia, a small town in the Sinai peninsula. To beat the heat we drove at night, as apparently is the thing to do in Egypt. On the way there we stopped at a rest stop with an awful mini zoo and even went through the tunnel under the Suez canal. Throughout the entire drive (which ended up being near 11 hours) we passed countless security checkpoints, but nothing really came from any of them. And as we drove through the Sinai desert under the moonlight, I couldn’t help staring out the window at the amazingly stunning scenery. Eventually we made it to our resort, about one hour before sunrise. Travis and I just headed straight to bed, excited to see the Red Sea upon waking up.
