Into Varna | Bulgaria

impressionist art

This afternoon we took the train from Ruse into Varna. It was a long and hot train ride, and by the time we had settled into our room at the hostel the sun had set.

We walked around town a little bit before dinner, in order to get our bearings for tomorrow. I didn’t take many photos, but couldn’t resist these two.

We found a restaurant chain called Happy – by the time we were wanting to eat it seemed to be the only thing open and hopping. It was for of like a TGIFriday or some other American chain, except all of the girls wore miniskirts. It was cheap, it was tasty: we were indeed happy! We will be eating there again for sure.

The right way is with a tripod. Since there was no way that I was going to carry one around the world, I rely on high ISO, f2.8, a steady hand (or a handy steady surface) and the VR on my lens. And then Photoshop to fix the white balance!
