Rainy day in Bucharest | Romania

We didn’t let the light rain keep us from taking a short walk around town today. It was a good thing too, because we found two nice surprises along the way.

The first thing we found was a permanent used book market with a little flower shop attached.

We then found Kretzulescu Church (circa 1722), a cute little church with amazing frescoes inside and out. Photos were not allowed inside, so this is just the outside.

At the end of our walk, we went to the grocery store near our hostel to grab a few things for dinner. By the time we got out, it was raining so hard that the streets were flooding. We had to hide along the side of the building until we got a small break, then ran back to our hostel. We got there pretty wet, but at least we weren’t drenched to the bones!
