We were looking for something different to do today and so we decided to try out the walking tour suggested in our guidebook. It promised a glimpse into old Tokyo through the streets of Shinjuku, and seemed very interesting. Once we had started the tour though we quickly realized that there was nothing really appealing about it, as it mainly didn’t take us to any point of actual interest. Eventually we decided to end the tour early, and do something else instead.
The highlight of the walking tour was the very first temple, Kagurazaka. It was a very interesting a visually appealing modern take on the Shinto shrine, and it was worth the visit.
