i am finally hitting the road again. it’s been quite a while since i’ve left the country to go further than Seattle! it will be nice to get some new stamps in the ol’ passport.

on December 8th i will be heading down to cabo san lucas, in the baja California region of Mexico. i have never been down there and i am very much looking forward to it. it looks quite different than any of the places that i have visited thus far and it will be great to visit a new spot in Mexico. hopefully the weather will be fantastic and the tacos delicious. I’m also excited to go down there with a film camera (or 2 or 3? i need to control this obsession!) and shoot Mexico through the (im)perfect lens of the holga (or the Diana +, if it ever gets here!). and best of all: i will be there with my mom and will be able to enjoy all of it with her!

on December 28th, i will be heading down to Texas, to spend some time with my boyfriend’s family and discover a new area of the USA. oh, and of course, to fill up on BBQ and Tex-Mex food! I’ll also get to meet the (4+) family dogs, extended relatives, friends, the horses, etc… to be frank, it seems a bit overwhelming and i am quite nervous (yet excited) – but that’s just silliness because i know that once i get there, it will all be fine. and fun!

i just hope that there’s good movies on the flights!
